Assessment Pathways at Denewood Academy
At Denewood Academy, we recognise that children face many barriers to their learning when they are admitted to the academy. To ensure all children receive a needs-led, high-quality inclusive education, children are assessed against one of three discreet assessment pathways. These are not curriculum pathways, but rather a guide to inform targeted priorities and next steps, allowing each child to reach their full potential and not limit what a child can achieve.
The pathways allow progress to be evidenced for key priorities that are bespoke for the child.
Assessment pathways are fluid, allowing children to move between pathways following ongoing assessment, pupil experiences and needs.
